It is a romance movie based on the book with the same title 那些年，我們一起追的女孩. Watching this movie is a bittersweet experience for me. On the whole the movie is a very very enjoyable show with all the x-rated jokes.
Why is it bittersweet because it reminded me of my own experience. Similar to the movie, during JC, a few of my classmates including me, fell in love with one of the girl in the class. The only different in the story is that in the movie, the female lead is the role model but in my real story she is not exactly what you called a role model. Although she is not a bad student but her results are scary and thus marked by the form teacher. Whereas the guys are more of the 'guai guai' (good students) kind.
Cutting the story short, although there are at least 5 (i think more) guys in our class liking her, none other than myself had the opportunity to get attached with her, after 8 years of friendship. We are together for 7 years and 3 months before we broke up because of a misunderstanding (so sad right). So I think I am much better than the lead actor whom never got a chance to be officially attached with the girl.
Maybe I shall also write a book called 'You are the durian of my eye' (SG version mah).
